Founded in 2007, Geek Estate’s guiding principle has always been:
“By operator, for operator.”

All signal, no noise.

The GEM (short for Geek Estate Mastermind) was founded in 2017 to bring
together the industry’s most forward-thinking, diverse, and innovative entrepreneurs
so they can spend more time building companies, and less time navigating the
industry. We are on a mission to make real estate, financial independence, and home
ownership more accessible using technology.

Geek Estate Blog

The real estate technology landscape innovates at a lightning pace as new companies shake up the status quo and modernize the real estate experience. Geek Estate Blog is a transparent platform specifically written for tech-savvy real estate practitioners, entrepreneurs, and vendors navigating the most pressing issues facing the RE industry.

Authored by self-proclaimed geeks—people with deep experience providing technology services to the real estate industry and practitioners buying/selling properties—they understand technology and how it can work for you.

They demystify new technologies, break through the hype, and challenge easy assumptions. Topics discussed range from a review of the latest RE smart phone app to a thought-provoking analysis of a new proptech startup to curated search engine optimization (SEO) tips for real estate websites.

The opinions expressed on the blog by its authors don’t necessarily reflect the views of Geek Estate Labs LLC. Geek Estate Blog’s contributors are not employed or paid by Geek Estate (unless otherwise stated). If you’d like to become a contributor to the blog, a membership in the GEM is required.

History & Business Structure

Geek Estate Labs is primarily funded by the GEM, a private and paid community of more than 625 diverse real estate creatives, doers, and pioneers. Geek Estate Blog is now operated as a member benefit.
